HUD Mobile Home Guidelines
HUD, which stands for Housing and Urban Development, has the absolute authority when it comes to manufactured mobile housing. They have in place and enforce several guidelines concerning the construction, sale, transportation, setup and all aspects of safety issues and even problem resolution.
I have fielded some question when it comes to HUD's regulations. The answer you may be looking for when it comes to mobile homes may sometimes be difficult and confusing to find. I went out and found the codes concerning mobile homes and placed them on this page in an outline format.
Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR Part 3280 is the part of the huge regulation guidelines that pertain to manufactured home construction, safety setup, repair, disputes and more. I have broken them down below.
There is a link at the bottom of this page to view or download each regulation in it's entirety.
